About the Chloe

I think I'm eighteen years old, but I am really bad with both numbers and time so please do not quote me on that. My name is Chloe, and you can probably already tell because I like putting my name on everything. I am a terrible typer, very bad at formulating sentences, and I also misspell my name nigh-constantly.

As far as people go, I'm a pretty weird one-- I am never professional, always hyperactive, and I WILL talk in Caps Lock, or make terrible long run on sentences, or use the same word fifty times in a single paragraph. I am super duper enthusiastic about pretty much everything.

My masterlist of characters is currently very outdated, but it's 200+ characters long. I once got bored and made up an entire species in a week, including census and family records on every member in the species. The end game on the number of named-backgrounded members of the species was somewhere around 250.

Yes, I am insane.

I'm also a chocolate milk junkie, and I'm currently drawing a really dumb comic about murder, and an even dumber comic about pirates. I have a teeny little dog named Beowulf the Hero, who is a total idiot. (He's a very lovable idiot.)

About my projects:

Forerunner Project: Resolved Comic
My graphic novel comic thing is something I have now been working on pretty much non-stop since March 10, 2013. It doesn't currently have much of a synopsis, but it's about teenagers, murder and the definition of piety.

It is a monster and I am very excited to begin posting it online for all the world to gasp in horror at. (It is currently not posting, though, because I am an idiot.)

Project 2: Post-Apocalyptic Pirate Story
(Tentatively titled Rocking Boats and Making Waves... because yes.)

Basically this is just a very goofy and rambling little series of tales, which are all character-based and kind of written like the episodes of a television show. I don't know, it is weird.

I currently draw this one as a comic, for no reason other than the fact that I like to procrastinate by drawing useless stuff. You can read it over on it's goofy little Wordpress--> LINK

Project 3: This Blog
Technically this is a writing project, I guess. I have no idea what I'm doing with this blog, to be honest, which is why I have such an indecisive blog title. I initially made it so I could have somewhere to put all the random articles I write for fun (and get them out of my e-mail, where they were taking up space).

If you have any ideas about stuff you'd like to see (or stop seeing) on this blog, drop me a comment and I'll see what I can do! (Also, I started this thing in January of 2014, although some of the content is from way before that.)

Project 4: Modern Mythos
This is my "waaaaay too weird to explain... I can't tell anybody about it" obsession story.  I'll try to explain it anyway, because I really am totally obsessed. Oh gosh, it's too weird to explain... um.

Basically? The story is set hundreds of years after a zombie apocalypse, long after everyone has abandoned the Topside of the Earth and live below the ground. This guy, Tully, has recently come of age to inherit the belongings his family left behind after their death during his youth-- and finds that it is mostly their translations of ancient myths. He sells them to this historian and they strike up a conversation that puts the rest of the story-- namely, these myths, which are mostly about these two characters Sun and Moon, and which are set in a world recently overrun by zombies-- into a framework that shows how the plot of Sun and Moon progresses through the myths and eventually into the present day.

Oh my gosh. It's too weird to explain.

And I'm obsessed with it.

Project 5: Dreamcaught
I love NaNoWriMo and am currently trying and failing to edit my 2012 novel, which is a modern fantasy about a pair of siblings who discover their insane mother's fantasy world isn't actually fiction.

Probably the biggest problem with the story is that the characters are all very underdeveloped, which is the opposite problem from the one I usually have.

Project 6: Nina! (And Vampires)
I'd really like to write a novel about vampire hunters and sibling relationships, but we'll see.

I have a fully developed cast of characters for this story, but sadly no plot. I have actually written nearly 13,000 words about these guys-- and that's without even having a plot! Lands alive!

The characters were invented back in January of 2013, while I watched the first season of 24 for the first time. (Ah, I was so young and ignorant back then...)

Project 7: Luca's Mermaid
In a world where merfolk are pests, there's always a guy who works on the marina and cleans up their graffiti. Luca is that guy. With a dying dog, a dying little brother, and no parents to speak of, the last thing Luca needs is for a mermaid to crawl out of the ocean and follow him home-- but seriously, when is anything actually going to go right for him?

6: Fever Story (also known as Uncanny Valley)
7: The Superhero House
8: ... there's something I'm forgetting, I just know it.
